Following a meeting on 18 December, we have the following updates.

Security – There have been many questions on security. The venue is based inside a fenced compound with 24 hour guarded security with no public access. Entry will only be permitted with valid accreditation.

Camper vans – There is limited space for, initially, 10-15 camper cans within the compound and this is a question within the entry process. Facilities are be looked at but there are hoses, toilets and showers on the beach.

Capacity – There is ample capacity for cars, vans, boats and trailers within the compound. Previously it has hosted events with 300 boats and 500 people. There is plenty io space for parking boats, trailers (including big ones) cars and campers.

Crane – There will be a crane available, but likely only available for one day for unloading trailers and launching ribs.

Functions – The opening and prizegiving ceremonies will be held at the Rotonda Diaz, while the Championship Gala Dinner will be at one of the clubs.

F&B – Outlets on site are being planned but depends on local permissions. Otherwise, there are many pizzerias, bars, restaurants within a short distance.

Racing - The PRO will be Stuart Childerley (FGC 2021, OG 20, FWM 23…). IFA has full confidence that Stuart will organise high quality racing according to the Event Manual. In turn Stuart has high confidence in the facilities, equipment and personnel of the organising club, having worked with them for several years.

Opening – It is planned the venue will be opened on Thursday 3 April. Because it is a public area, opening before that is not possible.

Facilities – Toilets, showers and water hoses are available on the beach. Further toilet and shower facilities are available at the Naples Tennis Club towards the rear of the compound, but this will close during the evening.

Restaurants and bars – There are many close by the event village, within a few 100 metres.

Racing – It is planned to sail in one group up to around 120 boats, after which two fleets will be considered. The club has adequate safety cover for either option.
